Rianat Adedeji

About Me

Ririwrites is the pen name for Rianat Adedeji, a Nigerian storyteller. Riri has been penning down stories since she was 8 and she spent her secondary school days writing in notebooks in between her classes. She actively wrote on Wattpad between 2020 to 2022 and she published two completed Nigerian stories, both of which raked in hundreds of thousands of reads. She mostly writes YA and NA Nigerian stories because when she was a young adult, she wanted Nigerian stories with characters her age, and with stories she could relate to but they were almost non-existent and she wants to bridge that gap for all Nigerian Young Adults. She's currently working on her debut book to be published in 2026. Much more than a writer, Riri is a book lover who runs multiple book clubs, informally and is always inspiring and pushing people to read more. Also a film enthusiast and a graduate of a film school, Riri is a scriptwriter and she hopes to be a renowned filmmaker someday.
